The Simpson County Adult Detention Center was built in 2011 and is currently housing 185 inmates. The jail is managed by the jail administrator. The jail staff consist of four shift supervisors and 16 full time certified detention officers along with 2 transport officers.The jail also has a full time nursing staff.
No call to inmates will be allowed except in an extreme emergency situation. Inmates have phones in each cell and can call out whenever they want to. The Simpson County Jail uses an Electronic Inmate calling system. Please be aware that charges are associated with each call. If you wish to receive calls you must first set up a prepaid account .Call 1-866-681-2948 to set up your account. This is the only way to set up your account.We cannot do it for you.
Bonding time is 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A list of bail bonding agents is located at the jail. In addition to professional bail bonding, Property bonds are accepted Monday through Friday from 8am – 4pm excluding any holidays. Every visitor is required to present a picture ID prior to entering the visitation area. Any person who attempts to brings weapons and/or contraband into the facility and/or who possesses weapons and/or contraband within the facility will be prosecuted. Should weapons and/or contraband be discovered on any person within the facility including the lobby, a deputy will be summons, which will take the appropriate action(s).
The inmate will provide four (4) names for visitation during the booking process. The names presented will still need to fill out a visitation form including trustees. Inmates will be allowed to update their visitation list once a month. All names presented on the list will be approved or disapproved by the Jail Administrator or his designee. Inmates on any segregation lockdown will not be approved for visitation.
The Inmate Visitors list will be printed for the officer to verify approved visitors and after verification the visitor will then sign the report, if correct. After visitation, the officer must log all visits into the Eagle Management System. When the report is completed it is to be turned in to the Jail Administrator.
Inmates will be allowed visitation every Sunday between 1300hrs-1500hrs. Trustees will be allowed visitation every Saturday between 1300hrs-1600hrs.
Any special visitation will be approved by the Jail Administrator or his designee.

DETAINEES AT THE SIMPSON COUNTY JAIL WILL BE ALLOWED TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1:00 PM TO 3:00 PM ONLY. THESE ITEMS WILL NOT BE RECEIVED THROUGH MAIL, UNLESS YOU LIVE OUT OF STATE.

VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) is a service that allows crime victims to obtain timely and reliable information about criminal cases and the custody status of offenders 24 hours a day. Orders are received on Sunday after 6:pm and are delivered the next Wednesday
Money must be in the inmates account befour Sunday at 6:00 pm or the ORDER will not be placed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Inmates may spend a maximum of $40.00 per order, regardless of the amount they have in the commisary account.
If the order is placed and the inmate is released prior to receiving the commissary , It must be picked up within 72 hours after it is received
